From custom engagement rings and wedding bands to heirloom remodelling, every piece begins with the person who will wear it.
The design can begin with a finished sketch, a reference image, an inherited stone or simply an occasion. It is then developed around how the jewellery needs to look, feel and function within the available budget.

The process

The design direction, materials and quotation are agreed before manufacture begins. You will know exactly what is being made and what it will cost before committing.

We define the design direction, materials, practical requirements and budget.
Design and quotation
A clear drawing or CAD model is developed with proportions and costs agreed before manufacture.
Manufacture
The piece is made in the Brackenfell studio using traditional and modern techniques.
Completion
The finished piece is inspected, polished and prepared for fitting, collection or delivery.

Custom engagement rings, wedding bands and one-of-a-kind jewellery are designed and manufactured in our Brackenfell studio.
Existing jewellery can also be remodelled where the gold, platinum, diamonds or gemstones are suitable for reuse. Natural and laboratory-grown diamonds, coloured gemstones, CAD design and traditional goldsmithing can all form part of the process.
Materials
Materials that suit the piece.
Gold, platinum, natural or laboratory-grown diamonds, coloured gemstones and suitable inherited materials can all form part of a commission.
Existing gold or heirloom stones can be incorporated where their condition and properties make them suitable. If reusing them would compromise the piece, that will be explained before work begins.
